CNC Tangential Knife

I designed a CNC tangential Knife to automate the cutting of carbon fiber sheet molding compound for compression molding. After designing the tool I had to integrate the additional axis to the existing CNC router control as well as create a post processor for programming. The success of this project reduced cycle times by 92% while increasing part consistency and quality.
